Tumble, flip or fly your way into Green Gables Daycare on Saturday, September 28 for a special Stand-up Comedy Fundraiser in support of the Kelowna All-Star Cheer Society! Help us raise the roof—and some funds—for three powerhouse cheer teams: the U12 Level 2 Generals, U16 Level 3 Flight Crew, and International Open Level 4 Maverick. Two of these squads are set to hit the mat at US Nationals in LA, and the other’s heading to the Summit in Orlando and we’re here to help them stick the landing! So let’s jump into some laughs and show these athletes our support!
Get ready for an action-packed night full of fundraising fun, with a 50/50 draw, silent auction, and raffle prizes up for grabs. And of course, the highlight of the evening is an amazing stand-up comedy show featuring three hilarious comedians, headlined by Canadian Comedy Award-Winner, Dave Nystrom, straight from Calgary, AB!
The evening will also feature a bar with adult beverages and West Coast Willy’s food truck on site supplying the grub!

Dave Nystrom is a world-renowned comedian, celebrated for his stand-up performances on international stages. He’s graced the United Kingdom, shone at HBO‘s US Comedy Arts Festival, and garnered laughs with his Comedy Central special in New York.
In addition to his comedy, Nystrom’s writing talents shine. He contributed to CBC’s “This Hour Has 22 Minutes,” winning both a Canadian Comedy Award and a Writers Guild of Canada Award. His creative prowess extends to film, with “Comedy Club” earning acclaim at The Reel Madness International Film Festival.
Nystrom’s comedy has drawn him to the likes of Robin Williams, Dane Cook, Bob Saget, Patton Oswalt, and Harland Williams. He’s also left his comedic mark on National Lampoon and the Anniversary BluRay Edition of “Office Space.” With pilots for VH1 and CBC under his belt, Nystrom’s comedic influence is far-reaching.
