Kelowna Actors Studio – Nikki Payne (Sackville, NS)
Presented by Bark N’ Fly Dog Daycare & Boarding
Three Canadian Comedy Awards, Comedy Person of the Year in 2012, Last Comic Standing, and a regular on CBC Radio’s The Debaters.
Nikki Payne hails from Lower Sackville, Nova Scotia. She grew up in a trailer park just outside Halifax… and knows all their dirty secrets.
Over the last two decades, she’s turned her signature voice into one of the most distinctive acts in Canadian comedy. Her sharp, unapologetic style has landed her on Last Comic Standing, Much Music’s Video on Trial, Buzz, Am I Right??, and the sketch series Comedy Inc.
Since then, Nikki wandered off into the Acadian forest to pursue a career as a funny hermit. Currently, you can watch her as a nurse dealing with patients and the undead on Peacock’s Revival.
A regular on CBC Radio’s The Debaters, Nikki has carried her comedy from clubs and theatres across the country.
Bold, hilarious, and completely herself, Nikki is sure to fill the room for this can’t-miss night.
